Tran Sen Dental is a family-owned and operated full service Digital Dental Lab located in Virginia Beach, VA. At the core of our lab are three brothers; Founders Rick and Ryan Boylan, and their youngest brother Chris.

Rick Boylan
These brothers share complementary skills and an unmatched passion for Dentistry. Rick is our CAD/CAM expert. Beyond designing and fabricating prosthesis at the highest level available in Today's market, he relentlessly has his ears and eyes on what's possible tomorrow. Together, we know staying on the cutting edge and constantly progressing is the only way to thrive in our industry
Dr. Ryan Boylan DDS
Ryan is integral part of the team bringing his valuable, unfiltered perspective as a Dental Surgeon. Ryan studied at USC Dental School, where he was greatly influenced by the teachings of his professor, Dr. Pascal Magne, the father of Biomimetic Dentistry. Magne's pioneering emphasis on biological principles permeates the consciousness of our entire team. Which blended together with our design and fabrication superiority, effective communication standards, and chairside experience sets us apart from the rest.
Chris Boylan
Chris was procured to join the team for his exceptional artistic abilities, coming from a Fine Arts background. Through his scrutinizing eye for detail and skillful hands, every prosthetic we fabricate takes on a lifelike, terrestrial quality.

Getting these offices to convert to or take on more digital processes will invite a lot of benefits. In these cases, most logistical hassles and concerns will be eliminated. Previously, offices will use expensive materials to take impressions for creating the models they send to labs. Models often have inaccuracies and can break or distort during handling. In most processes, using a digital workflow, no model is required. And be it a case where a model is requested, we can print them in an hour or two. Easily replaceable, highly accurate, and very low cost.
Ease of Communication & Customer Support
Beyond the product, we are investing for our practice partnerships. We are collaborating with innovation daily and offering an enhanced workflow upgrade as the market drives down costs with new technology. This new workflow may come with changes, but those risks we are taking for our dental families. Making the Doctor comfortable with these changes is the challenge, but the opportunity that affects the bottom-line in a compounding fashion. We want to take as much stress off the Doctor’s plate as possible. In Tran Sen Dental's background, we come from an incubated, in-house lab model. And with that, we have a full picture frame of reference when it comes to the Lab & Office inner workings. Through that experience, we have acquired the unique ability to train office staff. We can offer trainings to our partners in two significant areas capturing quality data and best utilizing file sharing platforms the process of exchanging digital scans, photographs, notes for characterization, questions, status updates, and proposals can all be streamlined, documented, and accessible for all qualified staff. Providing insight on each other’s needs is critical in ensuring successful restorations and setting the standard ever higher as we go forth in our developing relationships. This ease of communication and tracking makes routine out of timely and efficient appointments.

A beautiful feature about working with a local lab is the accountability and problem solving. As perfect as both the Lab and Offices want to believe they are, mistakes happen, and problems arise. Fortunately, in our case, we are a very small operation. Accountability is massive with us. When you call our lab, the very first person to pick up the phone will be a highly qualified team member who has been working closely on your case and is prepared to immediately take action. When problems arise, we correct them. After that, we learn from them, and share our insight. We constantly ask ourselves how we can improve and be better than we were Yesterday.
